Fakebook and FakeSMS

Fakebook and FakeSMS
Facebook is a free online website that allows you to create fictional fakebook accounts about anyone, even your dog. FakeSMS allows you to create things in the same way, you can make a fake SMS from and to any characters you want e.g. your dog and your cat.

You can't really use these for a school subject because it is more for a fun purpose. Though you can use this for a social media assignment or task you might have. The social media task will possibly be in a media studies class.

I had absolutely no troubles with this website because it was so easy to use.

I hope this post helped you realise the pros and cons about Fakebook and FakeSMS and gave you some insight into what Fakebook and FakeSMS can help you achieve and in what different subjects at school you can use it for.

It automatically saves your work for you and you can share your work with the rest of the toggle world and community.

This is a great website for studying because you have one topic and gets you thinking about all the sub topics  and what they all mean and what they all mean, corresponding to each other. If you see above, I have used this to study a topic in Science, The Solar System. It allows you to use many sub headings as you need, whether it be 1 or 20.

I had absolutely no troubles with this website, everything rang smoothly. I believe this was the case because it is such an easy website to use.

My Review For: Tagul

Tagul
Tagul is a free website that allows you to use an abundance of words and create a fun picture made of all the different words that you have put into the word generator. It's fun and easy to use and you can sign in through Google+, Facebook, Twitter or through the website directly.

URL to my final product: https://tagul.com/cloud/1

You can use this website in many classes. For example, you can use Tagul in English if you had a broad umbrella idea and had to use different words to describe, then make it into an interesting picture. Another subject example is to use this in a Science class. You can use this website to link different words to each other, in for example: Physics.

I didn't face a big challenge while using this website, the only thing I faced was that I accidentally forgot my password, though Tagul had a link if you forgot your password, the steps are to enter your username or email, go to your email and press the link. Put in your new password and enter it for Tagul, this means you will already be logged in, Tagul will send you another email to let you know that you have succsesfully changed your password and that it has automatically signed you in.

I hope this post helped you realise the pros and cons about Tagul and gave you some insight into what  Tagul can help you achieve and in what different subjects at school you can use it for.

My Review For: Word Smithing

Word-Smithing
When word-smithing comes to mind and the internet, there are three websites that act much the same but are slightly different as well. Google Alerts, this allows you to keep up with the latest news and sends you notifications about things you have alerted. Ngram, this allows you to search words about the past and present popularity in books, journals and the internet. Finally Wordnik, this website allows you to search up definitions of popular words, it also shows you how many different people have looked up that word.

Google Alerts

Ngram

Wordnik

Link to Wordnik: https://www.wordnik.com

You could use these websites in many different classes at school. One example is that you can use these websites in English. They all include words and definitions of those words. You can also use these in English is to search and analyse the amount of times a word has been looked up and the popularity.

Some challenges I faced while searching these three websites are; Google Alerts: The picture and the way my teacher had showed us that Google Alerts has worked is different to the way it came up on my screen, this is because Google has updated itself, I thought I was on the wrong website though with the reassurance from my teacher, I was fine and quickly went back to work. NGram: This website took a while to load and once it did load it took a while to update the relevance of some words and people, sometimes it also didn't show certain words so I just had to not use those words which were a little disappointing, though I got over it. I didn't have any troubles in Wordnik though it took a long time to load in Google because there are so many people using Google at one time.

I hope this post helped you realise the pros and cons about these three websites and gave you some insight into what these three websites can help you achieve and in what different subjects at school you can use it for.
